The League action was outstanding during Championship Week and it went down to the wire with late night Michigan and FSU wins breaking up the final three Perfectos on the board. And after the vape smoke settled, Pickles slid into the big prize sandwich with 62.5 points. The big week put Pickles three points better than A million miles of fun, who finished at #2 after scoring 22.5 points and leading the League for most of the year. A million miles of fun takes home #2, a Criminoles title, four Chips and a missed Georgia FG to haunt his dreams.
Strangely enough, Pickles sealed the deal despite going scoreless three times this season- which is more donuts than anyone else in the Top20 ( other than #5 War Damn Turtle). Making up the deficit of the three zeroes were three Chips and weeks worth 121, 75, 73.5 and 61 points. Along with the top purse, Pickles also laid claim to a Trojan Whores Championship, a glory that will echo an eternity. Congratulations to Pickles on a hell of a finish and a CFGL19 Championship.
To round out the Top3, Cafe Risque was the biggest surprise of the week after scoring 179.5 points thanks to a Perfecto with a Bama $line and Dog. The monster week for Cafe Risque was good for +66 spots to #3 and a TD Jesuses title.
My NIL is worth nil went for 55 in Championship Week which was enough to snag fourth place and only a half point from thrid. Stepbrothers went into the night games with a Perfecto but Louisville and Iowa simultaneously combusted so he settled for #4 with The Portal Championship. Not bad.
CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK HIGHLIGHTS
TRI-FECTOS: Aside from Cafe Risque, there were two other Championship Week Perfectos. Boucher 4 Heisman scored one of them and went from #110 to #18 with the 159.5 pointer. #23 Lou Holtz for Prethident had the other Perfecto and scored 169.5 but finished 5 points shy of the Top20 money. He’ll have to thettle for a $50 Double Chip.
SILVER LINING FOR RED OR GREEN: #24 Red or Green? was a Louisville $line away from a Perfecto but scored 101.5 points nonetheless. The big score was 11 points shy of cracking the Top20 money but the big week was good for a Double Chip.
SEASON HIGH SCORE GOES TO A SLACKER: SBSlackers hit the season high score in Week12 with 195 points and finished at #15.
CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK BROUGHT OUT THE NON-CHAMPIONS: No one in the Top50 from last week won a Chip in Championship Week.
THE CHAMPIONS OF THE MID-TWENTIES: There were two conference winners who were short of the Top20 money. #22 Go Ugly Early won the Church of Nick Satan and #26 Noly Shit won the Jesse Palmers.
O.G. CFGLER GETS TOP10: #10 Meegs3000 represented the crew and was the only original CFGL member finishing in the money. He wins the side bet and $20 a head from the homies.
CONFERENCE WINNER: Stumblin Drunks stumbled up the standings in the last two weeks and beat out mikeDtiger for the Academically Ineligible championship.
