Santa Fe, NM- What a week for the ol’ nerves. Week8 went down to the wire on Saturday and featured more sweats than Brett Bielema housing a Grandma’s Sampler at Cracker Barrel. Duke and Tenn gave FSU and Bama first half scares. OK and TX squeaked out wins. USC lost to Utah on the game’s last play and Iowa had a phantom fair-catch signal nullify a game-winning TD. But as wild as the games on the field were, the game within the game proved even more exciting. For the Good of the League, of course.
mikeDtiger Breaks Into Top 3 with Triple Digits
A million miles of fun holds onto the lead after his 20-pointer– but the savvy vet is now only up a couple winners with a new contender in the rearview. MikeDTiger went off with 105.5 points from a $line Perfecto with Virgin Dog kicker. The monster week moved the Tiger up to #3 and a half point behind #4WIndiana. To round out the Top10, and underscore the tight race, Red or Green? and JFleming are tied at #9 and only 30 points behind all the goddamn fun at the top.
Top20 and Bowl Taxes
Only 55 points back of #1 is Golden Flashes who sits at #20 and rounds out the potential pay days. Above is the payout structure but let’s also talk about the importance of finishing in the Top100. For those who finish #101 thru #206, you’ll be required to pay the humiliating bowl tax, a $25 fee to enter bowl season. Ouch. But, if you’ve won a Chip, that’s your entry in.
MidSeason Report
We’re more than halfway through the season and it’s time to take a look at a couple mid-seasonish stats. While the info may not be useful, perhaps it’s interesting and besides, it sure was fun to poke fun at the pigs below.
Perfecto Watch
It’s hard to know which weeks are gonna yield the most Perfectos ahead of time. But if anyone could’ve predicted it, I bet they live in Ann Arbor. Here’s how the 30 Season19 Perfectos have shaken out so far. No surprise, right, Jim?

Binding Swinneys and Loseys
You’d think the Power5 would be the most successful binding conferences. But as it turns out, the mid-majors have yielded the biggest winning percentages. The League started in Albuquerque just a couple miles from Lobo stadium so perhaps that’s why the MTN WEST football knowledge is so sharp.

That’s Another L from Me, Dog
In Week 8, Caleb Williams shit the bed against Utah once again and is now 4-7 against Top25 teams. Here’s the results of the other biggest Dog games thus far.
